"Beyond the uniqueness and intricate design of each seashell, these little treasures carry a myriad of our emotions. For over twenty years, side by side with my Aunt, walking where the endless shore meets the Indian ocean. And if a year I missed, a little pot was filled and kept, so that I could see what beauties the sea had given up for us to hold. We all have our favourites to pick up, vir ons was dit hierdie…Blood red speckles between endless grains of sand, pampoenskulpies - klein en groot, ‘surfer’s knots’, and anything with coral hues - for the joy of seeing her smile."
